This Privacy Policy explains how Freelance Drivers LLC® and Freelancer LLC® (together, “Freelancer, “a California Limited Liability Company, “we,” “our,” or “us”) collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you:

  • Visit our websites and landing pages (“Site”);
  • Book or request chauffeured transportation and related services (“Services”);
  • Participate in loyalty, promotions, and subscriber programs;
  • Communicate with us by phone, email, WhatsApp, social media, or other channels; and/or
  • Interact with our ads, social content, or customer support.

Our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact us and we will address it.

4. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

  • Email is not guaranteed secure. Please avoid sending sensitive personal or payment details by standard email.

5. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

A. Identifiers & Contact Information

Name, email, phone number, billing address, account identifiers, and communication preferences.

B. Booking & Trip Information

Pickup and drop-off locations, trip date/time, passenger count, luggage notes, special requests, wait-time or stop requests, trip history, and service preferences.

C. Payment & Transaction Information

Payment method type and transaction details (e.g., authorization status, partial card details like last four digits). We do not intentionally store full card numbers, CVV codes, or full magnetic stripe data on our servers when using reputable payment processors.

D. Loyalty Program & Promotions

Membership status, referral codes, earned/redeemed discounts or benefits, and eligibility verification for loyalty offers.

E. Communications

Records of communications with us (emails, chats, WhatsApp messages, direct messages on social platforms, and phone call details such as date/time, duration, and notes). See Section 18 (Privacy Notice to Call Attendees) for call-specific disclosures.

F. Website/App Technical Data

IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, clickstream data, approximate location derived from IP, and diagnostic logs.

G. Social Media & Advertising Interaction Data

Engagement with our content (likes, comments, shares), ad interactions, and publicly available profile information depending on your platform settings.

6. How We Use Your Information

  1. Provide and operate the Services (booking, dispatch, trip fulfillment, customer support);
  2. Manage your account and preferences;
  3. Operate loyalty programs, discounts, and promotions;
  4. Process payments and prevent fraud (see Section 10);
  5. Send service-related notices (booking confirmations, changes, cancellations, receipts);
  6. Send marketing communications if permitted by law or with your consent (see Section 12);
  7. Improve our Site and Services (analytics, troubleshooting, quality assurance);
  8. Comply with legal obligations, enforce policies, and protect rights/safety;
  9. Exercise our right to refuse service where allowed (see Section 19).

8. Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies (Cookie Notice)

We may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar tools to operate the Site, personalize experiences, measure performance, and support advertising. These technologies may be “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by partners).

9. Registered Use, Booking Rides, and Service Fulfillment

When you request or book Services, we process information to:

  • Create or manage a booking;
  • Coordinate dispatch and communicate trip updates;
  • Provide chauffeur details where appropriate;
  • Support your ride experience (e.g., accessibility or luggage notes);
  • Maintain trip history for service support, loyalty benefits, and dispute resolution.

Sharing for fulfillment: We may share necessary booking details with chauffeurs, dispatch partners, or service providers to complete your ride (e.g., pickup instructions, passenger count, destination). We do not authorize chauffeurs to use your information for their unrelated marketing.

10. Payment & Fraud Prevention Policy

10.1 Payment Processing

We accept and may process payments via PayPal, debit cards, and credit cards, and may use payment processors and merchant services to complete transactions. Payment processing typically involves sharing certain information with payment providers (e.g., name, transaction amount, billing details, and device/transaction identifiers) to authorize and complete payment.

We may retain transaction records for accounting, dispute handling, and legal compliance.

10.2 Fraud Prevention & Security Screening

To protect customers, chauffeurs, and our business, we may use automated and manual methods to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized transactions, including:

  • Validating identity or payment legitimacy;
  • Reviewing booking patterns that appear suspicious;
  • Preventing chargeback abuse;
  • Blocking or limiting transactions tied to known fraud indicators.

Information used may include IP address, device identifiers, email/phone, payment metadata, booking history, and chargeback history.

10.3 Verification Requests

In certain cases (e.g., high-risk transactions, repeated payment failures, suspected fraud), we may request additional verification such as confirmation of booking details or proof of authorization. If you do not provide requested verification, we may cancel or refuse the booking.

10.4 Chargebacks, Disputes, and Collection

If you file a chargeback or dispute, we may provide relevant booking and communication records to banks, processors, and dispute-resolution parties. We may also pursue collection or account restrictions where permitted by law.

11. Communications with Freelancer

If you contact us through our Site, email, phone, WhatsApp, or social media, we use your information to:

  • Respond to inquiries;
  • Provide booking support;
  • Address safety concerns;
  • Manage complaints, feedback, or lost-and-found;
  • Maintain quality assurance and training records.

12. Email, Messaging, and Advertising (Newsletter / WhatsApp)

We may send:

  • Transactional messages (booking confirmations, updates, receipts, policy notices); and
  • Promotional messages (offers, loyalty benefits, announcements), where allowed by law or with your consent.

WhatsApp communications: If you opt in or otherwise engage with us through WhatsApp, we may send promotional or service-related messages consistent with your preferences. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan. You may opt out by replying “STOP” (or equivalent) where applicable, or by contacting support@freelancedrivers.com.

13. Social Media / Social Networks

We maintain a presence and may advertise on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Pinterest, Reddit, and others. When you interact with our pages, content, or ads:

  • The platform may collect data under its own privacy policy;
  • We may receive aggregated analytics (e.g., performance reports, audience insights);
  • If you message us through a platform, we may process the content of those messages to respond.

Third-party responsibility: Social platforms operate independently and control much of the data collection that occurs on their services. Review their privacy settings and policies for more information.

14. Service Providers and Data Processors

We may share information with vendors and contractors that help us operate our business, such as:

  • Payment processors (e.g., PayPal and card networks/merchant services);
  • Website hosting and security providers;
  • Customer support and communications tools;
  • Analytics and advertising technology providers;
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting) as needed.

We require appropriate confidentiality and security obligations where commercially reasonable and/or legally required.

15. Your Privacy Rights (California and Other Regions)

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as:

  • Access: request the categories and specific pieces of information we hold;
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Deletion: request deletion of certain information, subject to legal exceptions;
  • Opt-out of certain sharing used for advertising/marketing where applicable;
  • Non-discrimination: we will not unlawfully discriminate for exercising privacy rights.

16. Automated Decisions

We may use automated tools to help detect fraud, protect accounts, and prevent abuse. In certain cases, automated signals may result in a booking being limited, canceled, or refused. You may contact us at legal@freelancedrivers.com to request review, where applicable.

17. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for:

  • Providing the Services and loyalty benefits;
  • Recordkeeping, tax, and accounting;
  • Dispute resolution and fraud prevention;
  • Legal compliance and enforcement.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the data and legal requirements.

18. Privacy Notice to Call Attendees

By calling Freelancer or participating in a call with our team, you understand:

  • Calls may be monitored, documented, or recorded where permitted by law for quality assurance, training, and security.
  • If call recording is used, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
  • You may request alternative communication methods (e.g., email) if you prefer not to be recorded, when feasible.

If you are located in a jurisdiction requiring two-party consent for recording, we will seek consent or provide an opt-out option where required.

19. Right to Refuse Service

To protect safety, service quality, and lawful operations, Freelancer reserves the right to refuse, limit, or cancel service to any person or booking where permitted by law, including (without limitation) for:

  • Fraud, suspected fraud, chargeback abuse, or payment risk;
  • Threats, harassment, unsafe conduct, or policy violations;
  • Attempts to damage vehicles, interfere with chauffeurs, or violate laws;
  • Misuse of promotions, loyalty benefits, or referral programs;
  • Requests that are unsafe, illegal, or operationally infeasible.

We do not refuse service on unlawful discriminatory grounds.

20. Cancellation, No-Show, and Related Policy Data Use

If a booking is canceled, modified, or treated as a no-show, we may retain related records (timestamps, communications, driver dispatch status, location/time evidence, payment authorizations) to:

  • Administer any applicable cancellation/no-show terms;
  • Respond to disputes and chargebacks;
  • Improve operations and prevent abuse.

21. Links to Third-Party Websites

Our Site or social profiles may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy (Amendment or Update)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time due to operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Updates will be posted on our Site with a revised “Last Updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
